Method
- Cut the chow chow into small pieces.
- Heat a pan with 2 cups of water add the cut pieces, turmeric powder and chana dhal.
- When the vegetable is cooked, add salt..
- Grind coconut, jeera and chili into fine paste and add to the vegetable.
- See that it should be thick. Mix well.
- Heat a pan with 1tsp oil, ,add mustard seeds, urad dhal.
- When the mustard splutters add to the curry.
- This kootu is a tasty dish, eat with sambar/rasam rice or chapathis
